Peter acknowledges that Jesus is the “Christ”

13 When he came to Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Whom do the people say is the Son of Man?”
Matthew 16:13

14 They said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and some Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”

15 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon the son of Jonah. For this thing was not revealed unto you by man, but by my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; The power of death will never be able to defeat my church.
Matthew 16:18

19 I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you do on earth will be judged by God. The forgiveness you promise on earth will be God’s forgiveness. ”

20 Then Jesus warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.

Definite life to the Lord

17 But let every man abide in the same life which God hath ordained for him. This means that he must live in the condition in which God called him. This is the law I have made in all the churches.
1 Corinthians 7:17

18 For if a man be circumcised in the flesh, he shall not be circumcised in the flesh. If a person is not circumcised at the time of calling, he should not be circumcised.

19 It doesn’t matter if a person is circumcised or not. The important thing is to obey God’s commands.

20 Let every man abide in the calling of God.

21 If you were a slave when the Lord called you, don’t worry about it, but if you can be free, be free.
1 Corinthians 7:21

22 The man who was a slave when the Lord called him is now free in the Lord. In the same way, the man who was free when God called him is now a slave of Christ.

23 You were bought at a high price. So don’t be slaves to men.

24 Brothers and sisters, live your new life with God the way you were living when God called you.

Paul in Macedonia, Greece, and Troas

1 And when the noise was ended, Paul called unto him his disciples. He encouraged them and said goodbye to them and then left for Macedonia.

2 And he went through Macedonia, and passed through the midst of the country, and said many words to strengthen his disciples. Then he came to Greece.

4 There were some men with him. They were Perez, from the city of Berea, the son of Sopater, from Thessalonica, Aristarchus and Secundus, Gaius from Derbe. Timothy and two other men from Asia, named Tychicus and Trophimus.

5 These men left quickly, and in Troas they waited for us.

6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; and abode there seven days.
