The effects of righteousness
1 If we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

5 And this hope never disappoints us. Because God has poured out his love into our hearts. He has given us his love through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a gift from God to us.

6 Christ died for us at the right time while we were still weak and living against God.

7 No one would want to die for a good person. If a person is very good then anyone can be willing to die for him.

8 But Christ died for us while we were still sinners. This is how God has shown his love for us.

9 For we are justified by the blood of Christ. Then we must be saved by God’s wrath through Christ.

10 I mean that when we were enemies of God, God made us his friends through the death of his Son. That is why we are God’s friends now. Surely God will save us through the life of his Son.

11 Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus who made us friends of God.

Spiritual treasure in clay pots
1 God gave us this work by His grace. So we will not lose heart.

7 We have this treasure from God. But we are just like the clay pots in which the treasure is stored. It is clear that this great power is not from us but from God.

9 We are persecuted, but God does not forsake us. Sometimes we are thrown down but we are never destroyed.

10 The mother of Jesus is in our body, and wherever we go, we always carry this death with us, so that the life of Jesus may be shown in our bodies.

11 We are alive, but for Jesus ‘sake we are all in danger of death. This happens to us so that Jesus’ life can be seen in our dying bodies.
