There is no other good news

6 Not long ago, God called you to be his followers. God called you by the grace of Christ. But I am very surprised at you people because you are turning to a different gospel.
Galatians 1: 6

7 There is no other true gospel, but some people are putting you in a quandary. They want to change the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1: 7

8 We preached the gospel to you. So if we ourselves or an angel from heaven preaches to you a different kind of gospel, you should reject it.
Galatians 1: 8

9 I have said this before, and now I say again that you have already accepted the true gospel. Anyone who tells you any other way of salvation should be condemned.
Galatians 1: 9

10 Do you now think that I am trying to get people to accept me? No God is the one I am trying to please. Am I trying to please people? If I wanted to please people, I would not be a servant of Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:10

Paul’s Gratitude After Tragedy

3 Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God, our Father, is full of mercy. He is the God who comforts us in every way.
2 Corinthians 1: 3

4 He comforts us whenever we have a problem. So that we too may be able to comfort other people when they are in trouble. We give them the same comfort that God gives us.
2 Corinthians 1: 4

5 We became partakers of Christ’s many sufferings. In the same way, we find greater happiness through Christ.
2 Corinthians 1: 5

6 If we suffer, it is for our comfort and salvation. If we have comfort from you, it is for your comfort. It also makes us tolerant in our sufferings.
2 Corinthians 1: 6

7 We have strong hopes for you. We know that you share in our suffering. We also know that you share in our comforts.
2 Corinthians 1: 7

8 We want you to know, brothers and sisters, the trouble we have suffered in the land of Asia. We suffered a lot there. It was more than we could bear. We also gave up hope that we would live.
2 Corinthians 1: 8

9 We really thought in our hearts that we were sentenced to death. But this happened so that we would not believe in ourselves. This is so that we can have faith in God who raises people from the dead.
2 Corinthians 1: 9

10 God saved us from this terrible danger of death and He will save us again.
2 Corinthians 1:10

11 And you can help us with your prayers. Then many people will thank us that God blessed us with their prayers.
2 Corinthians 1:11

Examine yourself and see if you are living in the faith. (Then beware)

Then beware

1 I will come to you again. This will be the third time. And remember, “For every complaint there should be two or three people who can say it’s true.”
2 Corinthians 13: 1

2 The second time I was with you, I warned those who had sinned before. Now I am away from you. I warn everyone else who has sinned. When I come back to you, I will punish you.
2 Corinthians 13: 2

3 You want proof that Christ is speaking. My proof is that Christ is not weak to punish you. But Christ is powerful among you.
2 Corinthians 13: 3

4 It is true that Christ was weak when he was crucified. But now he lives by the power of God. And it is true that we are weak in Christ. But we will live with Christ for you by the power of God.
2 Corinthians 13: 4

5 Examine yourselves and see if you are living in the faith. You must feel that Christ Jesus is in you. But if you fail the test, Christ is not in you.
2 Corinthians 13: 5

6 But I hope you will see that we have not failed the test.
2 Corinthians 13: 6

7 We pray to God that you will not do anything wrong. Isn’t it important that these people see that we have passed the test? But the important thing is that you do what is right. Although it seems we have failed the test.
2 Corinthians 13: 7

8 We cannot do anything that is against the truth. We can only do things that are for the truth.
2 Corinthians 13: 8

9 We are happy to be weak if you are strong. And our prayer is that you will be stronger.
2 Corinthians 13: 9

10 I write these things to you in your absence, so that when I come to you I may not use my power to punish you. The Lord has given me this power to make you strong. Not to destroy you.
2 Corinthians 13:10
