1 My son, do not take responsibility for another man’s debt. Have you promised to repay that person’s debt if you waved your hand, promising to be responsible for someone else’s debt?

3 So, my son, because you are stuck in someone else’s hands, do this to save yourself: go humble yourself and plead with that man.
