29 And when he was at Bethapha and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,

30 “Go to the city you see here. When you enter the city, you will find a baby donkey tied up. No one has ridden on it yet. You open it and bring it to me.

31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you carrying it?’ Tell him, ‘The Lord needs it.’

32 The two disciples went into the city. They saw a donkey tied there, just as Jesus had said.

33 As they were opening it, the owners came out and asked them, “Why are you untying our donkey?”

34 The disciples answered, “The Lord needs it.”

35 Then the disciples brought the colt to Jesus. They spread their robes on the donkey and seated Jesus on it.

36 As Jesus rode along, the people spread their clothes on the road.

37 He was approaching Jerusalem. He almost reached the bottom of the Mount of Olives. And the whole multitude of the disciples were glad, and glorified God altogether with all their might.

38 They thanked the Lord for all the mighty things they had seen. They said, “Happy! Which is in the name of the Lord. Peace to heaven and glory to God. ”

39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, we perish. Tell your disciples not to say that! ”

40 But Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That these things must come to pass. If my disciples are silent, these stones will speak like this. ”
