
28 After saying this, Martha went to her sister Mary and talked to her privately, saying, “The teacher is here, and he is asking about you.”

29 When Mary heard this, she got up quickly and went to Jesus.

30 Jesus had not yet entered the village, but was still there when Martha came to see him.

31 The Jews were comforting her in Mary’s house. When they saw Mary getting up early and leaving the house, they followed her. She thought she was going to cry at the grave.
John 11:31
32 Mary came to where Jesus was. When Mary saw Jesus, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
John 11:32
33 When Jesus saw Mary and the Jews who were with him weeping, he felt great pain and sorrow in his heart.
John 11:33
34 He asked, “Where have you kept Lazarus?” They said, “Lord, come and see.”
John 11:34
35 Jesus wept,
John 11:35
36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!
John 11:36
37 But some of the Jews said, “Isn’t there anyone who can stop Lazarus from seeing the blind man?”
