
21 Paul and Barnabas also preached the gospel in the city of Derbe. Many people became followers of Jesus here. They returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch.

22 In these cities Paul and Barnabas strengthened Jesus’ disciples and taught them to remain in the faith, saying to them, “We must face many difficulties to enter the kingdom of God.”

23 They appointed elders for each congregation. With fasting and prayer, they handed them over to the Lord, whom they trusted.

24 And they passed through Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia.

25 And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down to Antioch.

26 From there they sailed to Antioch. It was the same city where the believers gave them God’s grace and sent them to do this work. Now he had finished the work he had given them.

27 And when they were come together, they were assembled together, and told them of the things which God had done with them. He said to them, “God has opened the door for the Gentiles to believe.”

28 Paul and Barnabas stayed with the disciples for a long time.
