1 What I say is true; If a person wants to become an elder in the congregation, he wants to do good.

4 He must have a good leader in his house. This means that her children obey her with full respect.

3 They have all gone astray, they have all become corrupt. There is no one to do good, not even one!

4 Don’t all these evildoers understand, who eat my people like bread, and do not call on the name of the Lord?

5 They were terrified, because God lives with the generation of the righteous.

6 You call evil the way of the wicked, but Jehovah is his refuge.

7 I wish the salvation of Israel had come out of Zion! When God brings his people back from slavery, then Jacob will be gardening and Israel will be happy!
