30 So what did all this mean? This means that; Gentiles who were not trying to be righteous were made righteous. They became righteous because of their faith.

31 And the children of Israel did obey the law, that they might be justified.

32 Why? Because they were trying to be righteous by their actions, not by faith. They stumble on the rocks that cause people to stumble.

23 “All things are lawful for me.” Yes, but not everything is helpful. ” “All things are lawful for me.” Yes, but not everything helps to be strong.

24 No one should do things that only help him. He should also do what is helpful to others.

30 I eat food after giving thanks. So I don’t want to be criticized for what I thank God for.

31 Therefore if you eat or drink, or if you do anything, do it for the glory of God.

33 I do the same. I try to please everyone in every way. I don’t try to do what is good for me, I try to do it so that they can be saved.
