A song of praise

1 Gentlemen, rejoice in the Lord. It is good for good people to praise him.
Psalm 33: 1

2 Play the harp and praise him. Play a ten-stringed instrument for the Lord.

3 A new song to him. Play the melody of happiness in a beautiful way.

4 God’s word is true. You can depend on him for whatever he does.
Psalm 33: 4

5 God loves to be judged and to do good. Jehovah’s true love abounds on earth.

6 The Lord commanded, and the world was made. Every breath that comes out of God’s mouth has created everything on earth.
Psalm 33: 6

7 God gathered water from the sea in one place. He puts the ocean in its place.
Psalm 33: 7

8 Everyone on earth should fear and honor the Lord. All the people of the world should fear him.
Psalm 33: 8

9 Why? Because God only commands and that thing happens. And if he said, “Wait,” she would stop.
Psalm 33: 9

10 He can destroy everyone’s plan. He can thwart their plans.
Psalm 33:10

11 But the counsel of the LORD is good for ever. His plans are auspicious from generation to generation.

12 Blessed are the people whose God is Jehovah. Why? Because God chose them to be his special people.
Psalm 33:12

13 The Lord looked down from heaven and saw all the people.
Psalm 33:13

14 He looked down from his high throne to all the inhabitants of the earth.
Psalm 33:14

15 God made every man’s heart. God knows what everyone thinks.
Psalm 33:15

16 The king is not saved by his own great power. The mighty warrior is not saved by his own great strength.

17 In fact, horses do not win the war. In fact, their strength does not help you escape.
Psalm 33:17

18 The Lord watches over and cares for those who walk in his ways. His great love helps those who worship him.

19 God saves them from death; He gives them strength when they are hungry.
Psalm 33:19

20 So we will wait for the Lord. He helps us and he protects us.
Psalm 33:20

21 God gives us joy. We truly believe in His Holy Name.
Psalm 33:21

22 Jehovah, we truly worship you. So show us your great love.

Warning from the history of Israel

1 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of my Father which is in Israel, All of them were under the clouds and all walked through the sea.
1 Corinthians 10: 1

2 And Moses baptized them in the cloud and in the sea;

3 They all ate the same spiritual food.
1 Corinthians 10: 3

4 And they all drank the same spiritual water. From the spiritual rock that was with them. That rock was Christ.

5 But God was not pleased with most of them. They were killed in the desert.
1 Corinthians 10: 5

6 And these things that happened are examples for us. We should learn from these examples that we should not be tempted to do bad things like those people.
1 Corinthians 10: 6

7 You must not worship idols, as some of them have done. It is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink. They got up to dance. ”
1 Corinthians 10: 7

8 We must not commit sexual immorality like some of them. One of them in a day because of their sins
1 Corinthians 10: 8

9 We must not tempt Christ as some of them have tempted God. They died from the sting of the serpent, because they tried God.
1 Corinthians 10: 9

10 Don’t complain like many of them did. So those people were destroyed by the angel of death.
1 Corinthians 10:10

11 What happened to those people is an example for us. These things are written to warn us. We are living in the last days of history.
1 Corinthians 10:11

12 Therefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1 Corinthians 10:12

13 Every human being has the same urges that you have. But you can trust God. He will not let you test more than you can bear. But when you are tempted, God will also give you a way out of this temptation. Then you will be able to tolerate it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

14 Wherefore, my dear friends, abstain from idolatry.
1 Corinthians 10:14

15 I speak to you as wise men; Judge for yourselves what I say.

16 The cup of blessing for which we give thanks and from which we drink; Does it not make us share in the blood of Christ? And the bread that we break and eat, does it not make us share in the body of Christ?

17 There is one bread, and although we are many, we are all one body, for we all share that one bread.

18 Think of the people of Israel. Don’t those who eat the meat of the sacrifice share in the altar?

19 I do not mean that the meat sacrificed to idols is important, nor do I mean that idols are important.

20 But I say that the things which are offered to idols are not given to God, but to demons. And I don’t want you to be associated with demons.

21 You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons. You cannot share the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

22 Do we want to make the Lord jealous? Are we stronger than he? No

Jacob’s dream

10 Jacob left Beersheba and went to Haran.
Genesis 28:10

11 While Jacob was traveling, the sun went down. So Jacob went somewhere to spend the night. Jacob saw a rock there and fell asleep with his head on it.

12 Jacob had a dream. He dreamed that there was a ladder that was on the ground and went up to the sky. Jacob saw angels ascending and descending the stairs.

13 And Jacob saw the LORD standing by the stairs. The Lord said, “I am the Lord God of your grandfather, Abraham. I am the God of Isaac. I will give you this land on which you are now lying. I will give this land to you and your children.

14 You will have many descendants. They will be like the dust of the earth. They will spread east, west and north, south. All the families of the earth will be blessed because of you and your descendants.

15 “I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. I will bring you back to this earth. I will not leave you until I have done what I promised. ”

16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “I know that the Lord is here. But I didn’t know it until I fell asleep. ”

17 Jacob was afraid. He said, “This is a great place. This is the house of God. This is the gate of heaven.

18 Jacob got up very early in the morning. Jacob took the cob on which he slept and placed the weight on one side of it. Then he poured oil on the cob. He made it a memorial of God.

19 The name of the place was Luz. But Jacob called it Bethel.
Genesis 28:19

20 Then Jacob made a promise. He said, “If God is with me, and if God will keep me on this journey, and if God gives me food and drink and clothing,

21 And if I come in peace to my father’s house, then the LORD will be my God.
Genesis 28:21

22 I am setting up this stone as a memorial stone. It will show that this is a holy place for God. And I will give tithes of all that he giveth me.
