1 In fact, there is no need for me to write to you about this help of God’s people.
2 Corinthians 9: 1
2 I know you want to help me. I am proud to tell the people of Macedonia about this. I have told them that you people of Achaia have been ready to give alms since last year. And this desire to give has created in many other people the desire to give.
2 Corinthians 9: 2
3 But I am sending the brothers to you. I do not want my pride in you in this matter to be in vain. I want you to be as ready as I told you.
2 Corinthians 9: 3
4If people from Macedonia come with me and find out that you are not ready for it, it would be an insult to us. We would be ashamed to say that we trusted you so much. Needless to say, you too will be ashamed.
2 Corinthians 9: 4
5 So I thought I should send these brothers to you before we come to you. They will be able to make the gift you promised. It will be your gift. Then when we come, the gift you wanted to give will be the festival. Then this gift will be a voluntary gift and not an involuntary one.
2 Corinthians 9: 5
6 Remember this; He who sows little receives little. But he that soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
2 Corinthians 9: 6
7 Every man should give whatever he has determined in his heart. No one should give with sadness. God loves the one who gives generously.
2 Corinthians 9: 7
8 And God will bless you more than you need. When you always have an abundance of everything. You will have enough to give for every good deed.
2 Corinthians 9: 8
9 It is written, “He gives generously to the poor, and his mercy endures forever.”
2 Corinthians 9: 9
10 It is God who gives seed to the sower. And gives bread for food. And God will give you the spiritual seed and the one who will grow it. He will reap a great harvest from your goodness.
2 Corinthians 9:10
11 God will make you rich in every way so that you can always give generously. And your gift through us will make people thank God.
2 Corinthians 9:11
12 The contribution you make to this service contributes to the needs of God’s people. But your service is not enough. It brings more thanks to God.
2 Corinthians 9:12
13 The contribution you make is a testament to your faith. People will praise God for this. They will praise God because you follow the gospel of Christ, the gospel you believe in. People will praise God because you share with them and with all people.
2 Corinthians 9:13
14 And when they pray, they imagine that they are with you. They will do this because God’s undeserved kindness is with you.
2 Corinthians 9:14
15 Thanks be to God for this wonderful gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15
