Marriage – wedding instructions

1 Now concerning the things which were written unto me; It would be good for a person not to get married.
1 Corinthians 7: 1

2 But there is a danger of sexual immorality. That is why every man should have his own wife. And every woman should have her own husband.
1 Corinthians 7: 2

3 The husband must give to his wife all that he is entitled to receive, and the wife must give to her husband what he is entitled to receive.
1 Corinthians 7: 3

4 A wife has no authority over her own body. While her husband has control over her body. In the same way, a husband has no authority over his own body while a wife has authority over her own body.
1 Corinthians 7: 4

5 Do not refuse to give your bodies to one another. But you can both agree to stay away from each other for a while. You can do this so that you can dedicate your time to prayer, then come together again. Then Satan will have no opportunity to provoke you because of your weakness.
1 Corinthians 7: 5

6 I say this in order to allow you to be separated for a while. This is not a Hukam.
1 Corinthians 7: 6

7 I want everyone to be like me. But everyone has his own gift from God. One person has received one gift, another another.
1 Corinthians 7: 7

8 This is what I want to say to those who are single and to widows; It’s better for them to be alone like me.
1 Corinthians 7: 8

9 But if they can’t control their desires, let them get married. Better a poor horse than no horse at all.
1 Corinthians 7: 9

10 Now I command those who are married. This command is not from me, it is from the Lord. A wife should not leave her husband.
1 Corinthians 7:10

11 But if a woman leaves her husband, she must not remarry. Or she should go back to her husband. Also, a husband should not divorce his wife.
1 Corinthians 7:11

12 For all that I say, I speak, and not the Lord. A Christian can have a wife who is not a believer. And if she wants to live with him, the man should not divorce her.
1 Corinthians 7:12

13 And a woman may marry a man who is not a believer. And if he wants to live with her, then the woman should not divorce him.
1 Corinthians 7:13

14 A husband who is not a believer is sanctified by his wife. And a wife who is not a believer is made holy by her husband. If this were not true, then your children would be unclean. But now your children are clean.
1 Corinthians 7:14

15 But if a man or woman who is not a believer decides to separate, let the man or woman go. If this happens, then one brother or sister in Christ is free. God called us to live in peace.
1 Corinthians 7:15

16 Wives, perhaps you will save your husbands, and husbands, perhaps you will save your wives. Even if you don’t know what will happen next.
