Then I say, and as a witness in the Lord, I warn you, that ye walk no more as the Gentiles walk in vain.
Their minds are blinded, and they are cut off from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them and because of the hardness of their heart.
And being numb, they gave themselves over to lust, to covetousness of every sort.
But ye have not so learned Christ;
If you have ever heard him, you are taught in him, just as the truth is in Jesus.
That ye put off the old man of old, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.
And be new in the nature of your heart!
And put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and holiness.
Therefore renounce lying, and speak truth to your neighbor, for we are members of one another.
Be ye angry, but sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.
And do not give the devil a chance!
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Let no evil thing proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you are sealed until the day of redemption.
Let all bitterness, anger, wrath, noise, and wicked speech be removed from you, including all evil.
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
