The temple of the living God

14 You are not like those who do not have faith. So do not associate with them. Good and evil cannot be together, the company of light and darkness cannot be together.

The power of the gospel

16 I am honest and honor. This is the power God uses to save them, who believe in them to save the Jews and non-Jews.

17 The gospel shows how God justifies people. God makes his people righteous by faith. As the Scriptures say. “The human being who is righteous will always live forever.”

Walking in the light

5 We have heard the true teaching from God. Now we tell you this; God is light. There is no darkness in God.
1 John 1: 5

6 Therefore if we say that we have fellowship with God, and keep on living in darkness, we are liars and do not speak the truth.

7 God is light. We too must live in the light. If we live in the light, we keep company with each other, if we live in the light. Jesus’ blood cleanses us from all sin.

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God. He does what is right. He will forgive all the wrong things we have done.
1 John 1: 9

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we are making him a liar. We are not following God’s teachings.
