Charity for believers

1 Now, I am writing about God’s people raising money. Do as I told the church in Galatia to do.
1 Corinthians 16: 1

2 Every first day of the week, each of you should make a certain amount of money according to your salary. Keep this money in a special place. Then you will not have to collect your money when I come.

3 When I come, I will send some people to Jerusalem to receive your offerings. These are the people you will select for this purpose, I will give them letters of introduction.

4 If it pleases me to go also, then these men will go with me.

5 My plan is to go through Macedonia. So after traveling through Macedonia, I will come to you.

6 Maybe I will stay with you for a while. Maybe I’ll stay all winter. Then you can help me on my journey wherever I go.

7 I do not wish to see you this time, for it is only a matter of time. If God wills, I hope to stay with you for a long time.

8 But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost.

9 I will stay here for an occasion. I have a big and fruitful work to do there. Many people are against it.

10 Timothy may come to you. Trying to make his stay comfortable. He, like me, is working for the Lord.

11 Therefore let none of you disobey him. Help him in his journey peacefully so that he can come back to me. I, along with the other brothers, look forward to his return.

12 Now concerning my brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to come to you with his brothers. But of course he didn’t want to come now. But whenever he gets a chance to see you, he will come to you.

Praise the Buddha

1 I trust in the Lord. Then why do you say that I should run away and hide? You told me, “Fly like a bird to your mountain.”

2 Evil men are like hunters who hide under a blanket of darkness and return to attack. Bowing down to their bows, they aim their arrows directly at the hearts of good people and honest people.

3 What if they destroy everything that is good? Then what will good people do?

4 The Lord is present in his holy palace. He is seated on his throne in heaven and he sees everything that happens. He judges people to see if they are good or bad.

5 God seeks the good, but rejects the wicked and the wicked.

6 He will rain burning coals and burning sulfur on evil spirits. So these evil souls will get nothing but scorching waves.

7 God is good. And he loves those who do good. These lawful souls will always be with God and see the face of God.

A life of service to God

1 Wherefore, brethren, I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your lives a living sacrifice before God; This offering must be for God alone and to please him. This self-sacrifice is the spiritual worship of your God.
Romans 12: 1

2 Do not make yourselves like the people of this world, but refresh your minds and think in a new way so that you may know and accept the will of God. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to God, and what is right.

3 God has given me a special gift. That is why I want to say something to each of you. Don’t assume that you are better than you really are. You have to look at yourself as you really are. You can judge by your faith what God has given you.

4 We all have bodies, and many parts of that body do not work the same.

5 In the same way, we are many people, but we are one body in Christ. We are all part of that body and each part belongs to all the other parts of the body.

6 We are all endowed with various gifts. Every gift is given to us by the grace of God. If a person has the gift of prophecy, he should use it according to his faith.

7 If anyone is given the gift of service, let him serve. If anyone has the fruit of teaching, he should teach.
Romans 12: 7

8 If a man has the gift of comfort, let him use it for the good of others. If a person has a gift to give to others, let him give generously. If a person has the gift of leadership, let him lead with his hard work. If a person has the gift of showing kindness, let him do it with joy.
Romans 12: 8

9 Let your love be true, and hate evil, and do good.
Romans 12: 9

10 Love one another as brothers and sisters in nature. Give more honor to your brothers and sisters than you want to honor yourself.
Romans 12:10

11 Don’t be lazy when you need to work for God, as much as you can. Be spiritually motivated and absorbed in His service.
Romans 12:11

12 Rejoice in hope, and be patient in tribulation; Pray all the time.
Romans 12:12

13 Share things with God’s people who need help. Look for people who need help and invite them to your home.
Romans 12:13

14 Say good things to those who treat you badly, and do not curse them.
Romans 12:14

15 When other people are happy, join in their happiness. If they are sad, share their sadness.
Romans 12:15

16 Live in peace with one another. Don’t be arrogant. Be willing to make friends with ordinary people. Don’t overestimate your knowledge.
Romans 12:16

17 If someone does something wrong to you, don’t retaliate. Make your goal the best for everyone.
Romans 12:17

18 Do as much as you can to be at peace with all people.
Romans 12:18

19 My friends. When someone does evil to you, do not punish him for it, but wait for God to punish them with His wrath. The Lord says, I am the one who punishes. I will take revenge on the people. ”

20 But if your enemy is hungry, give him food. If your enemy is thirsty, give him something to drink. Doing so will make him feel ashamed. “
Romans 12:20

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
