Thanksgiving prayer

3 Whenever we pray to God for you, we always thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1: 3

4 We thank God because we have heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people.

5 You know that the things which you hope for are secure in heaven. You learned that hope when you heard the true teaching, the gospel.
Colossians 1: 5

6 The gospel that was preached to you is bearing fruit and is growing throughout the world. The same thing has happened to you since the time you heard the gospel and truly understood God’s grace.
Colossians 1: 6

7 You learned about the grace of God from our fellow servant Epaphras. We love him, and he is a faithful servant of Christ.
Colossians 1: 7

8 Epaphras also told us about the love you received from the Holy Spirit.
Colossians 1: 8

9 We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We are praying for you: that you may have a thorough knowledge of what God wants you to do; Have great wisdom and discernment in spiritual matters;
Colossians 1: 9

10 Live in a way that honors the Lord and pleases him in every way; You can do all kinds of good things and grow in the full knowledge of God;
Colossians 1:10

11God bless you with the power of his great power, that you may endure all tribulation with great patience.

12 You will thank the Father. He has enabled you to have the things that He has prepared for you. He has made all these things for those who live in the light.

13 God delivered us from the power that rules over darkness. And brought us into the kingdom of his beloved Son.
Colossians 1:13

14 The Son has paid the penalty for our sins, in which we have been forgiven of our sins.

Psalms The first part

1 Blessed is the man that doeth not the counsel of the wicked, and liveth not as the sinner. And not like those who do not respect God.
Psalm 1: 1

2 A good man loveth the word of the LORD, and meditate on it day and night.
Psalm 1: 2

3 In this way he grows strong like a tree that grows evenly along the river. And that tree bears fruit at the right time. He is like a tree whose leaves do not wither and it becomes fruitful in all its actions.

4 But bad people are not like that. Bad people are like straw that is blown away by the wind.
Psalm 1: 4

5 If good people come together to judge a court case, bad people will be judged for bad deeds. Those sinners will not be judged as innocent.
Psalm 1: 5

6 Why? Because Jehovah protects the righteous, but destroys the wicked.

A song of praise

1 Gentlemen, rejoice in the Lord. It is good for good people to praise him.
Psalm 33: 1

2 Play the harp and praise him. Play a ten-stringed instrument for the Lord.
Psalm 33: 2

3 A new song to him. Play the melody of happiness in a beautiful way.
Psalm 33: 3

4 God’s word is true. You can depend on him for whatever he does.
Psalm 33: 4

5 God loves to be judged and to do good. Jehovah’s true love abounds on earth.
Psalm 33: 5

6 The Lord commanded, and the world was made. Every breath that comes out of God’s mouth has created everything on earth.
Psalm 33: 6

7 God gathered water from the sea in one place. He puts the ocean in its place.
Psalm 33: 7

8 Everyone on earth should fear and honor the Lord. All the people of the world should fear him.
Psalm 33: 8

9 Why? Because God only commands and that thing happens. And if he said, “Wait,” she would stop.
Psalm 33: 9

10 He can destroy everyone’s plan. He can thwart their plans.
Psalm 33:10

11 But the counsel of the LORD is good for ever. His plans are auspicious from generation to generation.
Psalm 33:11

12 Blessed are the people whose God is Jehovah. Why? Because God chose them to be his special people.
Psalm 33:12

13 The Lord looked down from heaven and saw all the people.
Psalm 33:13

14 He looked down from his high throne to all the inhabitants of the earth.
Psalm 33:14

15 God made every man’s heart. God knows what everyone thinks.
Psalm 33:15

16 The king is not saved by his own great power. The mighty warrior is not saved by his own great strength.
Psalm 33:16

17 In fact, horses do not win the war. In fact, their strength does not help you escape.
Psalm 33:17

18 The Lord watches over and cares for those who walk in his ways. His great love helps those who worship him.
Psalm 33:18

19 God saves them from death; He gives them strength when they are hungry.
Psalm 33:19

20 So we will wait for the Lord. He helps us and he protects us.
Psalm 33:20

21 God gives us joy. We truly believe in His Holy Name.
Psalm 33:21

22 Jehovah, we truly worship you. So show us your great love.
