The wickedness of man

1 A wicked man is very wicked when he says to himself, “I will not fear, nor will I honor God.”
Psalm 36: 1

2 The man lied to himself. He does not see his sins, so he does not ask forgiveness.

3 His words are vain lies. He does not become wise or he does not learn to do good.
Psalm 36: 3

4 At night, he plans to be lazy. He stays awake and does nothing good. But he does not refuse to do evil.

5 Your true love is higher than the heavens. Your loyalty is higher than the clouds.
Psalm 36: 5

6 Your righteousness is higher than the highest mountain. Your fairness is deeper than the oceans. Lord, you protect man and beast.
Psalm 36: 6

7 There is nothing more precious than your loving kindness. People and angels come to you for protection.
Psalm 36: 7

8 Lord, they draw new strength from the good things in your house. You let them drink the water of your wonderful river.
Psalm 36: 8

9 Lord, the fountain of life flows from you. In your light, we see the light.
Psalm 36: 9

10 Lord, love those people. Those who really know you. And do good to those who are true to you.
Psalm 36:10

11 Lord, don’t let me fall into the trap of arrogant people. I will not be caught by the wicked.
Psalm 36:11

12 Write these on their graves; “The wicked have fallen. They have been crushed. They will never be able to stand again.”

Jacob’s dream

10 Jacob left Beersheba and went to Haran.
Genesis 28:10

11 While Jacob was traveling, the sun went down. So Jacob went somewhere to spend the night. Jacob saw a rock there and fell asleep with his head on it.

12 Jacob had a dream. He had a dream that there was a ladder that was attached to the earth and went up to the sky. Jacob saw angels of God ascending and descending this ladder.

13 And Jacob saw the LORD standing by the stairs. The Lord said, “I am the Lord God of your grandfather Abraham. I am the God of Isaac. I will give you this land on which you are now lying. I will give this land to you and your children.

14 You will have many descendants. They will be as many as the dust particles on the earth. They will spread east, west and north, south. All the families of the earth will be blessed by you and your descendants.

15 “I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. I will bring you back to this earth. I will not leave you until I have done what I promised. ”

16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “I know that the Lord is here. But I didn’t know it until I fell asleep. “

17 Jacob was afraid. He said, “This is a great place. This is the house of God. This is the door of heaven.

18 Jacob got up very early in the morning. Jacob took the cob on which he had slept, and weighed it on one side. Then he rubbed oil on the seal. In this way he made it a memorial of God.

19 The place was called Luz. But Jacob called it Bethel.
Genesis 28:19

20 Then Jacob made a promise. He said, “If God is with me, and if God will keep me on this journey, and if God gives me food and drink,

21 And if I come in peace to my father’s house, then the LORD will be my God.
Genesis 28:21

22 I am setting up this stone as a memorial stone. It will show that this is a holy place for God. And I will give tithes of all that he giveth me.

Paul’s preaching in Rome

23 Then Paul and the Jews made a schedule for the meeting. Many more Jews came to Paul’s house that day. From morning till night Paul spoke of the kingdom of God. And tried to persuade them to believe in Jesus. He made this attempt by proving the law of Moses and the writings of the prophets.

24 Some of them believed Paul’s words, but others did not.

25 They began to argue with each other. As the Jews were about to leave, Paul told them one more thing:

26 “Go to the people of this nation and tell them; You will hear. But you will not understand. You will see, but you will not understand what you have seen.

27 The wisdom of these people has grown fat. They have ears but they do not hear. These people refuse to see. They will understand. This has happened so that they will return to me to be healed. ‘
Acts 28:27

28 ‘O Jews! I want you to know that God has sent this salvation to the Gentiles, and they will listen. ”

30 Paul stayed in his rented house for two whole years. He welcomed all who came to him.

31 Paul preached the kingdom of God. He preached about the Lord Jesus Christ. He spoke very boldly and no one tried to stop him.
