1 I trust in the Lord. Then why do you say that I should run away and hide? You said to me, “Fly like a bird to your mountain.” Psalm 11: 1
2 Evil men are like hunters, who hide themselves under a blanket of darkness and return to attack. Bowing down to their bows, they aim their arrows directly at the hearts of good people and honest people. Psalm 11: 2
3 What if they destroy everything that is good? Then what will good people do? Psalm 11: 3
4 The Lord is present in his holy palace. He sits on his throne in heaven and sees everything that happens. He judges people to see if they are good or bad. Psalm 11: 4
5 God seeks the good, but rejects the wicked and the wicked. Psalm 11: 5
6 He will rain burning coals and burning sulfur on evil spirits. So these evil souls will get nothing but scorching waves. Psalm 11: 6
7 God is good. And he loves those who do good. These covenant souls will always be with God and see God’s face. Psalm 11: 7
10 On the Sabbath Jesus was teaching in a synagogue. Luke 13:10
11 A demon had entered the woman at the synagogue. This evil spirit had made him sick for eighteen years. She was lying on her back, and she could not stand up straight. Luke 13:11
12 When Jesus saw her, he called her and said to her, “Woman! You have got rid of your sickness! ” Luke 13:12
13 And he laid his hands on her: and she was made straight, and glorified God. Luke 13:13
14 The ruler of the synagogue was angry because Jesus had healed him on the Sabbath. The chief said to the people, “There are six days for work, so come back in those days. No one should come here on the Sabbath to be healed. Luke 13:14
15 The Lord Jesus answered, “You hypocrites! Do you not take your ox or donkey out of the manger every day and on the Sabbath to fetch water? Luke 13:15
16 This woman, whom I have healed, is a Jewish sister, and has been in bondage to the devil for eighteen years. Was it wrong for him to be released on the Sabbath? ” Luke 13:16
17 When Jesus said this, those who were blaspheming began to feel ashamed of themselves. And all the multitude rejoiced at the miracles which he did. Luke 13:17
1 Rejoice, O barren woman! You don’t have children. But you must be very happy! The Lord says, “A woman who is single will have more children than a woman who lives with her husband.” Isaiah 54: 1
2 Make your tent bigger. Make your doors wide. Don’t stop growing in your home. Make your tent bigger and stronger. Isaiah 54: 2
3 Because you will flourish. Your children will get people from many nations. Your children will live in the cities that were destroyed. Isaiah 54: 3
4 Don’t be afraid! You will not be disappointed, and people will not speak evil of you. You will not be ashamed, you felt ashamed when you were young. But now you will forget that shame. You will not remember the shame you felt when your husband was lost. Isaiah 54: 4
5 For your husband is the one who made you. His name is the Lord All-Powerful. He is the guardian of Israel. He is the Holy One of Israel. And he will be called the God of all the earth! Isaiah 54: 5
6 You are like a woman abandoned by her husband. You were very sad in your soul, but the Lord called you to be your own. You are like the woman who got married when she was young and left her husband. But God called you to be his own. Isaiah 54: 6
7 God says, “I left you, but only for a short time. I will call you back to me, and I will have great mercy on you.” Isaiah 54: 7
8 I was very angry and hid from you for a long time. But I will give you lasting peace of mind. ”This is what the Lord your Savior said. Isaiah 54: 8
9 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, in the days of Noah, I executed judgments upon the earth: but I sware unto Noah, saying, I will never again destroy the earth with the flood, even as I have vowed unto thee. Yes, I will never be angry again, and I will not speak ill of you. “ Isaiah 54: 9
10 Thus saith the LORD; Even if the mountains be taken away, and the hills be turned to dust, yet my lovingkindness shall not depart from thee. I will make peace with thee, and it shall not cease. The Lord has mercy on you. And he was the one who said these things. Isaiah 54:10
The city of Jerusalem to come
11 Thou, O poor city, thine enemies were like a whirlwind: but no man hath comforted thee. But I will build thee again. When I lay your foundation. Isaiah 54:11
12 The stones on the shoulder will be made of red diamonds, and your gates will be made of glittering jewels. I will use precious stones for the walls around you. Isaiah 54:12
13 Your children will be God’s followers, and he will teach them. Your children will truly find peace. Isaiah 54:13
14 You will be built on righteousness. So you will be safe from oppression and fear. You will have no fear. Nothing will happen to hurt you. Isaiah 54:14
15 None of my armies will fight against you. And if an army tries to attack you, you will defeat that army. Isaiah 54:15
16 Behold, I have made the blacksmith, who hath swept the fire, to make it swift, and hath made the harlot fit for his work. Isaiah 54:16
17 “People will make weapons against you, but those weapons will not defeat you. Some people will speak against you. But everyone who speaks against you will be proved wrong.” This is what the Lord says: “What do the servants of the Lord get? They get the guilt that comes from me!” Isaiah 54:17
