The Sign of the Covenant, Circumcision

1 When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him. The Lord said, “I am the Almighty God. Do these things for me: obey my commands and live in the right way.
Genesis 17: 1

2 If you do this, I will make an agreement between you and me. I will make your people a great nation.
Genesis 17: 2

3 Then Abram worshiped God. God said to him,
Genesis 17: 3

4 This is my covenant: I will make thee a father of many nations.
Genesis 17: 4

5 I will change your name. Your name will not be Abram – your name will be Abraham. I will give you this name because I am making you the father of many nations.
Genesis 17: 5

6 I will give you many descendants. New nations and kings will be born from you.
Genesis 17: 6

7 I am establishing my covenant between me and you and your descendants forever. I will be your God and the God of all your descendants.
Genesis 17: 7

8 And I will give this land unto thee, and unto thy seed after thee. I will give you the land you are passing through – the land of Canaan. I will give this land to you forever. And I will be your God.
Genesis 17: 8

9 And God said unto Abraham, This is thy covenant; You and your descendants will keep my agreement.
Genesis 17: 9

10 This is the agreement you will keep. This agreement is between you and me. This is for all your descendants: every boy born must be circumcised.

11 You will cut off the flesh to show that you are obeying the agreement between me and you.
Genesis 17:11

12 When the son is eight days old, you must circumcise him. Any boy born in your house or even in the house of a foreign slave whom you have bought who does not belong to you must be circumcised.

13 So every male among your descendants will be circumcised. Any boy born into your family or bought as a slave must be circumcised. In this way, my agreement will be marked on your bodies as an eternal agreement.

14 This is the covenant between me and thee, Abraham: whosoever is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin shall be cut off from among his people. For he hath broken my covenant.

15 God said to Abraham, “I will give your wife Sarai a new name. Her name will be Sarah.
Genesis 17:15

16 I will bless him. I will give him a son, and you will be his father. She will be the mother of many new nations. It will produce kings of the nations. ”
Genesis 17:16

17 Abraham bowed down to the earth to show his reverence for God. But he laughed and thought to himself, “I am 100 years old. I can’t have a son. And Sarah is 90 years old. She can’t have a baby. ”
Genesis 17:17

18 Then Abraham said to God, “Can’t you continue your promise through Ishmael?”
Genesis 17:18

19 God said, “No! I said that your wife Sarah would give birth to a son. You name him Isaac. I will make a contract with him. That agreement will be an agreement that will continue forever with his successors.
Genesis 17:19

20 “You mentioned Ishmael. And I have heard. I will bless him. She will have many children. He will be the father of twelve great leaders. His family will become a great nation.
Genesis 17:20

21 But I will make my agreement with Isaac. Isaac will be the son Sarah will give birth to. This son will be born at this time next year. ”
Genesis 17:21

22 When God had spoken to Abraham, he ascended into heaven.
Genesis 17:22

23 God told Abraham to circumcise all the men and boys in his family. So Abraham gathered Ishmael and all the slaves born in his house. Abraham also collected the slaves who were bought with money. Every man and boy in Abraham’s house was gathered together and circumcised, as God had said.

24 Abraham was 99 years old when he was circumcised.

25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised.
Genesis 17:25

26 Abraham and his son Ishmael were circumcised on the same day.
Genesis 17:26

27 And all the house of Abraham was circumcised on the same day. All the slaves born in his house and all the slaves he bought were circumcised.

The Authority of the Apostles

1 I am a free man. I am an apostle. I have seen our Lord Jesus with my own eyes. You people are an example of my work in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 9: 1

2 Even if other people don’t believe me as an apostle. But you must consider me an apostle. You are a proof that I am an apostle in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 9: 2

3 Some people want to question my authority as an apostle. So I give them this answer.
1 Corinthians 9: 3

4 Don’t we have the right to eat and drink?
1 Corinthians 9: 4

5 Do we have the right to take our believing wives with us when we are on a journey, as all the other apostles and our Lord’s brothers and Cephas do?
1 Corinthians 9: 5

6 Is Barnabas the only one who has to work, and we must earn our living?
1 Corinthians 9: 6

7 No one works in the army at his own expense. There is no one who does not eat the grapes from the one who plants the vineyard himself. No one cares for a flock without a little milk.
1 Corinthians 9: 7

8 These are not the only things people think. This is what God’s law says about them.
1 Corinthians 9: 8

9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Behold, the beast of the field, when it swalloweth up the corn; When God said this, was he thinking only of the working animal? No
1 Corinthians 9: 9

10 He was really thinking about us. Yes, that book was written for us. The one who plows and the one who plows should expect to get some grain in return for their work.
1 Corinthians 9:10

11 We have sown spiritual seed among you. So we can get a crop of material things from you. Of course, this is not a big deal.
1 Corinthians 9:11

12 Other people have the right to take things from you. We have more power to do. But we do not use this authority. We ourselves endure all trials so that we do not stop anyone from believing the gospel of Christ.
1 Corinthians 9:12

13 Of course you know that those who work in the temple get their food from the temple. And those who work on the altar receive a portion of the altar offering.
1 Corinthians 9:13

14 So it is with those who preach the gospel. It is God’s command that those who preach the good news should make a living from it.
1 Corinthians 9:14

15 But I did not use any of these rights. And I’m not even trying to get these things. That is not my intention in writing this to you. I would rather die than lose the cause of bragging.
1 Corinthians 9:15

16 For though I preach the gospel, yet I have nothing to boast of. It is my duty to preach the good news which is inevitable for me. It would be very bad for me if I did not preach the gospel.
1 Corinthians 9:16

17 If I preach the gospel of my own choosing, I am entitled to a reward. But I don’t like it. I must preach the gospel. I am just doing my duty.
1 Corinthians 9:17

18 So what reward do I get? My reward is this: that when I preach the gospel I can offer it for free. That way I don’t use the right to get paid for preaching the gospel.

Paul Exercising his freedom

19 I am free. I am not subject to any human being. But I make myself a slave to all people. I do this to save as many people as possible.
1 Corinthians 9:19

20 For the Jews, I became like the Jews. I did this to help save the Jews. Although I am not under the law, I have become like those who are under the law. I did this so that I could lead those who are ruled by the law to salvation.
1 Corinthians 9:20

21 To them that are without law, as without law, I become. I do this to lead the salvation of those who do not have the law. But I am not without the law of God. I am under the law of Christ.
1 Corinthians 9:21

22 I have become weak so that I can lead those who are weak to salvation. I become things for all people. I have done this so that I can save all the people in every possible way.
1 Corinthians 9:22

23 All these things I do for the gospel’s sake. I do all these things so that I may be a partner in the good news of the gospel.
1 Corinthians 9:23

24 You know that all runners run in a race. But one runner gets a prize. So that’s the way you should run: you have to run to win.
1 Corinthians 9:24

25 Everyone who participates in sports is trained hard. They do this so that they can win the crown. This crown lasts only a short time. But our crown will last forever.
1 Corinthians 9:25

26 So I run like a man of purpose. I fight like a fighter who targets the air not like anything but something.
1 Corinthians 9:26

27 So I restrain my own body and make it my slave. I do this so that I will not be rejected by God after I have preached to the people.

The First Beast Came out of the sea

1 Then I saw an animal coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads. On each horn was a crown. A name that was an insult to God was written on every head.
Revelation 13: 1

2 The beast that I saw looked like a leopard. But his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth was like a lion’s. The dragon gave the beast his power, his throne, and great authority.

3 One of the animal’s heads looked as if it had been wounded and died. But he had already died. All the people of the world were amazed and chased the beast.

4 The people worshiped the dragon because it gave him authority. And the people worshiped that beast. They asked, “Who is stronger than this beast? Who can fight him? ”

5 The beast was permitted to utter boastful words, and God was to be slandered. The animal was allowed to use its power for 42 months.
Revelation 13: 5

6 The beast opened its mouth to blaspheme God. The beast has blasphemed God’s name and the place where God lives and the people who live in heaven.
Revelation 13: 6

7 The beast was allowed to fight and defeat God’s holy people. He was also given authority over every race, caste, language and nation.
Revelation 13: 7

8 All the inhabitants of the earth will worship him. All these people are from the beginning of the world. Whose names are not written in the book of the Lamb’s life. The Lamb is the one who was killed.
Revelation 13: 8

9 He that heareth these things, let him hear them also.
Revelation 13: 9

10 If anyone is to be imprisoned, he is to be imprisoned. If anyone is to die with the sword, he is to be killed with the sword. This means that God’s holy people must have patience and faith.
