30 So what did all this mean? This means that; Gentiles who were not trying to be righteous were made righteous. They became righteous because of their faith. Romans 9:30
31 And the children of Israel did obey the law, that they might be justified. Romans 9:31 32 Why? Because they were trying to be righteous by their actions, not by faith. They stumble on the rocks that cause people to stumble. Romans 9:32
33 The Scriptures say of this stone, “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone that will make people stumble, and it is a rock that causes people to sin. ” Romans 9:33
1 Remember this. The last days will be very difficult. 2 Timothy 3: 1
2 In those days people will love only themselves and money. They will be proud and arrogant. They will slander each other. People will not obey their parents. People will not be thankful. They will not be the kind of people God wants them to be. 2 Timothy 3: 2
3 People will not love one another. They will refuse to forgive others and speak ill of them. People will not control themselves. They will be cruel and they will hate goodness. 2 Timothy 3: 3
4 In the last days, people will be against their friends. They will do wrong without thinking. They will be arrogant and conceited. People will love pleasure and they will not love God. 2 Timothy 3: 4
5 Those people will continue to pretend to be serving God. But the way they live shows that they are not serving God. But the way they live shows that they are not serving God. Timothy, stay away from such people. 2 Timothy 3: 5
6 Timothy enters the house and takes control of the weak women. These women are full of sin and are slaves to the things they want to do. 2 Timothy 3: 6
7 Those women are always trying to learn new teachings, but they are never able to understand the truth properly. 2 Timothy 3: 7
8 Remember Janes and Ibres. They were against Moses. The same is true of these people. They are against the truth. They are deluded minds. They have failed to follow the path of faith. 2 Timothy 3: 8
9 But they will never succeed in what they are doing. Everyone will know that they are fools. The same thing happened with Janus and Zambes. 2 Timothy 3: 9
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is on a Sabbath day near Jerusalem.
13 And when they were come, they went up into the upper chamber, where they were, Peter, and John, and James, and Andrew, and Philip, and Thomas, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.
14 And they were all with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.
15 And it came to pass in those days, that Peter stood and talked with the brethren, about an hundred and twenty.
16 Brethren, the scripture must have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost spake by David concerning Judas, which was the leader of those who betrayed Jesus.
17 For he was numbered with us, and was partakers of the ministry
18 This man bought a field with the earnings of unrighteousness, and fell on his face, and his belly was rent, and all his bowels came out.
19 And this was known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, until the name of the field was called in their language Achladmah, which is, the field of blood.
20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his house be desolate, and let no man dwell in it, and let another take his place.
21 But of those who were with us at all times, when the Lord Jesus came and went among us.
22 From the baptism of John until the day he was taken up from us, it would be good for one of them to be a witness for us in his resurrection.
23 And they set up two men, Joseph of Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias.
24 And he prayed, and said, Lord, who knoweth the hearts of all men, shew me which of them thou hast chosen.
25 To take the place of this ministry and apostleship, which Judas left in lawlessness, to go to his own place.
26 And they laid slip for them, and the name of Matthias came out. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
