God’s love for Israel, The city of Jerusalem to come

1 Rejoice, O barren woman! You don’t have children. But you must be very happy! The Lord says, “A woman who is single will have more children than a woman who lives with her husband.”
Isaiah 54: 1

2 Make your tent bigger. Make your doors wide. Don’t stop growing in your home. Make your tent bigger and stronger.
Isaiah 54: 2

3 Because you will flourish. Your children will get people from many nations. Your children will live in the cities that were destroyed.
Isaiah 54: 3

4 Don’t be afraid! You will not be disappointed, and people will not speak evil of you. You will not be ashamed, you felt ashamed when you were young. But now you will forget that shame. You will not remember the shame you felt when your husband was lost.
Isaiah 54: 4

5 For your husband is the one who made you. His name is the Lord All-Powerful. He is the guardian of Israel. He is the Holy One of Israel. And he will be called the God of all the earth!

6 You are like a woman abandoned by her husband. You were very sad in your soul, but the Lord called you to be your own. You are like the woman who got married when she was young and left her husband. But God called you to be his own.
Isaiah 54: 6

7 God says, “I left you, but only for a short time. I will call you back to me, and I will have great mercy on you.”
Isaiah 54: 7

8 I was very angry and hid from you for a long time. But I will give you lasting peace of mind. ”This is what the Lord your Savior said.

9 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, in the days of Noah, I executed judgments upon the earth: but I sware unto Noah, saying, I will never again destroy the earth with the flood, even as I have vowed unto thee. Yes, I will never be angry again, and I will not speak ill of you. “

10 Thus saith the LORD; Even if the mountains be taken away, and the hills be turned to dust, yet my lovingkindness shall not depart from thee. I will make peace with thee, and it shall not cease. The Lord has mercy on you. And he was the one who said these things.

The city of Jerusalem to come

11 Thou, O poor city, thine enemies were like a whirlwind: but no man hath comforted thee. But I will build thee again. When I lay your foundation.
Isaiah 54:11

12 The stones on the shoulder will be made of red diamonds, and your gates will be made of glittering jewels. I will use precious stones for the walls around you.

13 Your children will be God’s followers, and he will teach them. Your children will truly find peace.
Isaiah 54:13

14 You will be built on righteousness. So you will be safe from oppression and fear. You will have no fear. Nothing will happen to hurt you.

15 None of my armies will fight against you. And if an army tries to attack you, you will defeat that army.
Isaiah 54:15

16 Behold, I have made the blacksmith, who hath swept the fire, to make it swift, and hath made the harlot fit for his work.
Isaiah 54:16

17 “People will make weapons against you, but those weapons will not defeat you. Some people will speak against you. But everyone who speaks against you will be proved wrong.” This is what the Lord says: “What do the servants of the Lord get? They get the guilt that comes from me!”

The dead for sin, the living for Christ

1 Do you think that we should continue to sin so that God may show us more and more grace? Certainly not.
Romans 6: 1

2 We have died for our old sinful life. How, then, can we continue to live in sin?
Romans 6: 2

3 Have you forgotten that we have all become partakers of him who was baptized into Christ Jesus? We have shared his death through his baptism which we received.
Romans 6: 3

4 Wherefore when we were baptized, we were buried with Christ, and shared in his death. We are buried with Christ so that we can be raised and live a new life. All this happened just as Christ was raised from the dead by the great power of the Father.

5 Christ died, and because we have shared with him in death, we will rejoice with him in his resurrection.

6 We know that our former sinful nature was crucified with Jesus. This happened so that our sinful nature would not have any control over us. Let us no longer be slaves to sin.
Romans 6: 6

7 Anyone who has died is free from the power of sin.
Romans 6: 7

8 If we die with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.
Romans 6: 8

9 For we know that Christ, being raised from the dead, cannot die again. Now death has no power over him.
Romans 6: 9

10 For Christ died for our sins once and for all. And the life he is living now is for God.
Romans 6:10

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin. But live for God through Christ Jesus.

12 But do not let sin control your life here on earth. You must not succumb to the evil desires of your sinful mind.
Romans 6:12

13 Do not offer your body parts as instruments of sin, but offer yourself to God, knowing that you were dead and that you are alive now. Offer your body parts to God as tools for healing.
Romans 6:13

14 Sin will not be your master. For ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Seed Sowing Pattern, The Meaning of the sower’s consolation

2 And he spake many things unto them in parables; He said
Mark 4: 2

3 “Listen! A farmer went out to plant seeds. ”
Mark 4: 3

4 As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and birds came and devoured them.
Mark 4: 4

5 Some fell on rocky ground, where there was not much soil. The seeds germinated quickly because the soil was not very deep.
Mark 4: 5

6 But as soon as the sun rose, the plants withered and burned. The plants withered because they did not have deep roots.
Mark 4: 6

7 And other fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
Mark 4: 7

8 Some other seeds fell on good ground. And when the seed fell on that good land, it sprouted and produced grain. Some plants yielded thirty times, some sixty times, and some a hundred times.
Mark 4: 8

9 Then Jesus said, “If you can hear, pay attention to me.”
Mark 4: 9

The Meaning of the sower’s consolation

13 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Do you understand this parable? If you do not understand this, how will you understand the rest of the parables?

14 The sower is like one who sows the word of God among the people.
Mark 4:14

15 Some people are like seeds that fell on the side of the road. God’s message is sown in them. They listen to him, but Satan comes and takes away what was sown in them.

16 “The rest of the people are like seeds that fell on rocky ground. They gladly accept it as soon as they hear it.
Mark 4:16

17 But they do not let the teaching go deep into them. They only follow them for a short time. When there is a crisis or punishment due to the teachings, they immediately abandon them.

18 “Other people are like seeds that fell on thorny bushes. These people listen to the sermon,
Mark 4:18

19 But when the anxieties of this life, the glitter of riches, and the temptation to take possession of all things come into their hearts, these things choke the doctrine and do not bear fruit. So they remain fruitless.

20 “Other people are like seeds sown in good soil. They listen to the teachings and accept them and they bear fruit, some thirty times, some sixty times and some a hundred times. ”
