12 Now, brothers and sisters, honor those who work hard among you, who lead you in the Lord. And teach you.

13 Honor them with a special love for the work they do. Be at peace with one another.

23 We pray that the God of peace may sanctify you to be his. We pray that your spirit and life and body may be safe and blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24 The God who called you will do this for you. You can trust him.

Praise the victory

1 Thy power,O Lord, is pleasing to the king. He is so happy when you save him.
Psalm 21: 1

2 You gave the king whatever he wanted, and you gave him whatever he asked for.

3 Truly you have blessed the king. You put a golden crown on his head.
Psalm 21: 3

4 God, the king asked you for life, and you gave it to him. You gave him a long life that lasts forever.

5 You gave victory to the king and gave him great glory. You gave him honor and praise.

6 Truly, O God, you have blessed the king forever. Whenever the king looks at your face, he is overjoyed.

7 The king trusts in Jehovah. The highest king will not disappoint him.

8 God, you will show all your enemies that you are powerful. Your power will defeat those who hate you.

9 O God, when you are with the king, he is like a fiery furnace, which burns all that is in it. His anger is like a blazing fire that completely destroys his enemies.

10 The families of his enemies will be destroyed, they will be wiped off the face of the earth.

11 Why? For they have plotted against thee, O LORD. They planned to do evil, but they did not succeed.

12 Lord, you made those people your slaves. You tied them in a tight rope. You put ropes around their necks. You bowed their heads like slaves.

1 Therefore rejoice in the Lord, brethren. It doesn’t bother me to write these things over and over again. These will help you to be more prepared.

2 Beware of those who commit adultery. They are like dogs. They ask for the body to be cut off.

5 I was circumcised on the eighth day. I am from the tribe of Benjamin. I am a Jew and my parents were Jewish. The law of Moses was very important to me, so I became a Pharisee.

6 I was very zealous about my Judaism. So I punished the congregation. I carefully observed the law of Moses, and no one was found guilty of obeying my law.

7 But all things which once were important to me, these I declare to be vain in Christ.

8 For even greater things I do to this day, because of the excellency of my Lord Jesus Christ. That is why I have given up everything. And I have come to think that everything is false so that I can have Christ.

9 It helps me to be righteous in Christ. This righteousness does not come from obeying the law, but from faith. God justifies me through my faith in Christ.

10 What I want to know is Christ and the power that raised him from the dead. I want to be a partaker of Christ’s sufferings and be like him in his death.

11 In this way, I hope to be among those who will be raised from the dead.
