Abandonment of Jehovah by the Israelites

11 So the people of Israel did what the Lord said was wrong, and they worshiped false gods like Baal.
Judges 2:11

12 The Lord brought the people of Israel out of Egypt. And the ancestors of those people worshiped the Lord. But the people of Israel stopped following the Lord. The people of Israel began to worship the false gods of the people around them. This made the Lord angry.

13 The people of Israel stopped worshiping the Lord Baal and the goddess Ashtaroth.

14 The Lord was angry with the people of Israel. So Jehovah’s enemies let the people of Israel attack and plunder them. Jehovah defeated them by the enemy around them. The people of Israel could no longer defend themselves against their enemies.

15 Whenever the people of Israel went to war, they always lost. They lost because Jehovah was not with them. Jehovah had warned the people of Israel that they would be defeated if they served the gods of the people around them. The people of Israel suffered greatly.

16 Then the Lord chose the leaders who were called judges. These leaders saved the people of Israel from their enemies who plundered them.

17 The Israelites did not listen to their judge. They were not faithful to God, they followed other gods. In the past, the ancestors of the Israelites obeyed the Lord. But now the Israelites have changed and are no longer obeying Jehovah.

18 Many times Israel’s enemies mistreated the people. So the people of Israel cried out for help. And each time, the Lord felt sorry for the people. Each time he sent a judge to save the people from their enemy. Jehovah was always with those judges. So each time the people of Israel escaped their enemies.

19 But when every judge died, the people of Israel began to sin again and to worship false gods. The people of Israel were very stubborn – they refused to change their evil ways. They were even more wicked than their ancestors.

20 So the Lord became angry with the Israelites and said, “This nation has broken the agreement I made with their ancestors. They did not listen to me.
Judges 2:20

21 So I will no longer defeat the nations, and I will no longer pave the way for the people of Israel. Those nations were still on this earth when Joshua died. And I will let those nations stay on this earth.
Judges 2:21

22 I will use those nations to test the people of Israel. I will see if the people of Israel can obey the Lord’s commands like their ancestors did. ”
Judges 2:22

23 The Lord let those nations live on the earth. He did not force these nations to leave the land quickly, nor did he help Joshua’s army defeat them.
Judges 2:23

Happiness in heaven

1 After this, I heard a loud voice from heaven that sounded like many people. They were saying, “Hallelujah! Conquest, glory and power belong to our God.
Revelation 19: 1

2 The judgments are true and right. Our God punished the great prostitute who polluted the earth with her sexual sins. God punished the prostitute and avenged the death of her servants. ”

3 The people in heaven said, “Hallelujah! She is burning, and her smoke will rise forever and ever.”

4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped the one that sat on the throne. They said: “Amen, Hallelujah.”

5 Then a voice came from the throne. The voice said, “Praise him, all you who serve our God. Praise him, all you people, great and small, who fear God.”

6 Then I heard something that made a lot of noise. It was like floodwaters and a powerful thunderbolt. People were saying, “Hallelujah! Our Lord God rules. He is the Almighty.

7 Let us rejoice and be glad, and glorify God, that we may praise him, as the Lamb hath married. And the Lamb’s wife hath adorned herself.

8 Fine linen cloths were given to the bride to wear. Fine linen cloths were clean and shiny. Fine linen cloths meant to do good to God’s holy people.
Revelation 19: 8

9 Then the angel said to me, “Write this down! Blessed are the people who are invited to the Lamb’s wedding feast. ” Then the angel said, “These are the true words of God.”

10 Then I bowed down at the feet of the angel to worship. But the angel said to me, “Don’t worship me. I am a servant to you and to your brothers who have the truth about Jesus. So worship God. For the truth of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. ”

Praise the victory

1 Thy power, O LORD, is pleasing to the king. He is so happy when you save him.
Psalm 21: 1

2 You gave the king whatever he wanted, and you gave him whatever he asked for.
Psalm 21: 2

3 Truly you have blessed the king. You put a golden crown on his head.
Psalm 21: 3

4 God, the king asked you for life, and you gave it to him. You gave him a long life that lasts forever.
Psalm 21: 4

5 You gave victory to the king and gave him great glory. You gave him honor and praise.
Psalm 21: 5

6 Truly, O God, you have blessed the king forever. Whenever the king looks at your face, he is overjoyed.
Psalm 21: 6

7 The king trusts in Jehovah. The highest king will not disappoint him.
Psalm 21: 7

8 God, you will show all your enemies that you are powerful. Your power will defeat those who hate you.
Psalm 21: 8

9 O God, when you are with the king, he is like a burning hot oven, which burns all that is in it. His anger is like a blazing fire that completely destroys his enemies.
Psalm 21: 9

10 The families of his enemies will be destroyed, they will be wiped off the face of the earth.
Psalm 21:10

11 Why? For they have plotted against thee, O LORD. They plotted to do evil, but they did not succeed.
Psalm 21:11

12 Lord, you made those people your slaves. You tied them in a pair of ropes. You put ropes around their necks. You bowed their heads like slaves.
Psalm 21:12

13 Let the songs of your power praise you, Yahweh. We will sing songs of your greatness.
