Hebrews 6:16

17 God wanted his promise to be true. God wanted this proof for those who were about to receive His promise. He wanted the people to understand clearly that he would not change his plans. So what God said will happen, he made it an oath.

18 These two things will never change. Whenever God says something, he does not lie and when he speaks, he will never lie. So we have run to God for safety. This has given us great comfort. Both of these things give us comfort and strength, so that we can continue the hope that God gave us.

19 We have the right to this hope. And it is like a langar. It is strong and reliable and is a protection for our soul. The holiest place behind this curtain goes to the heavenly temple.

Hebrews 1: 2

3 The Son represents the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature. The Son binds everything by His mighty command. The Son cleansed the people from their sins. Then he sat down at the right hand of the Great One who lives in heaven.

Word of life

5 We have heard the true teaching from God. Now we tell you this; God is light. There is no darkness in God.
1 John 1: 5

6 Therefore if we say that we have fellowship with God, and keep on living in darkness, we are liars and do not tell the truth.
1 John 1: 6

7 God is light. We too must live in the light. If we live in the light, we keep company with each other, if we live in the light. Jesus’ blood cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1: 7

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1: 8

9 But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God. He does what is right. He will forgive all the wrong things we have done.
1 John 1: 9

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar. We are not following God’s teachings.
1 John 1:10
