Ultimate exhortation, blessings and praise to God

14 Therefore, my dear friends, since you are waiting for these things to happen, do your best to appear clean and blameless before God. Try to be at peace with God.
2 Peter 3:14

15 Remember that God’s patience is a chance to survive. This is what our dear brother Paul told you when he wrote to you with the wisdom that God gave him.
2 Peter 3:15

16 This is how Paul writes about these things in all his letters. In his writings, there are some things that are difficult to understand. Strangers and people who are weak in faith deliberately misinterpret such things. They treat other books the same way. By doing so, they are destroying themselves.
2 Peter 3:16

17 Dear friends, you already know this. So be careful. Don’t allow bad people to mislead you with these misconceptions and cause you to stumble and fall from your strong faith.
2 Peter 3:17

18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:18

But we are thankful to God. He gives victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57

35 But one may ask, “How do the dead rise to life? What kind of body will they have? ”
1 Corinthians 15:35

36 These questions are foolish. When you plant something, it must die in the ground before it can live and grow.
1 Corinthians 15:36

37 And when you sow, it does not have the body that it receives. Whatever you sow, be it a grain of wheat or a grain of another crop, it is only the seed you have received.
1 Corinthians 15:37

38 But God gives to the seed the body he desires, and God gives the seed to his own body.
1 Corinthians 15:38

39 The flesh of all living things is not the same. Human flesh is one of a kind. The flesh of animals is different. And the flesh of birds of any other kind. And the flesh of the fish is very different.
1 Corinthians 15:39

40 There are also celestial bodies, and earthly bodies. But the beauty of the heavenly bodies is the same. The beauty of physical bodies is different.
1 Corinthians 15:40

41 The beauty of the sun is one thing, the beauty of the moon is another, and the beauty of the stars is another. And each star is different in its beauty.
1 Corinthians 15:41

42 It is the same with those who have been raised from the dead. The body that is sown will burn. But the body that has been raised to life cannot be destroyed.
1 Corinthians 15:42

43 When the body is “sown,” it has no respect. But it is raised in glory. When the body is “sown,” it is weak, but when it is raised, it is strong.
1 Corinthians 15:43

44 The body that is sown is the physical body. When this life is raised, it is a spiritual body. Just as there is a physical body, there is also a spiritual body.
1 Corinthians 15:44

45 It is written, “The first man became a living being,” but the last man became a living soul.
1 Corinthians 15:45

46 The spiritual man did not come first. It was the physical man who came first. Then came the spiritual man.
1 Corinthians 15:46

47 The first man was made of the dust of the earth, the second man was made of the sky.
1 Corinthians 15:47

48 people are from the earth. They are like the first humans on earth. But the people in heaven are like the people in heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:48

49 We were made like humans on earth. So we too will be made like the humans in heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:49

50 Brothers and sisters, I tell you this; Flesh and blood cannot be part of God’s Kingdom. A perishable thing can never be combined with an immortal thing.
1 Corinthians 15:50

51 But listen, I tell you this secret. We will not all die but we will all change.
1 Corinthians 15:51

52 It will take only a moment. We will change in the twinkling of an eye. This will happen when the last trumpet is blown. The trumpet will be blown, and those who have died will be raised to life. Some will get bodies that cannot be destroyed.
1 Corinthians 15:52

53 For this corruptible body will be clothed with incorruptible flesh. And the body that dies is given a body that does not die.
1 Corinthians 15:53

54 Therefore when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be the saying of the scriptures fulfilled: Death is swallowed up in victory.
1 Corinthians 15:54

55 “Death, where is your victory? Grave, where is your power to hurt? ”
1 Corinthians 15:55

56 The power to cause death is sin. And the power of sin is the law.
1 Corinthians 15:56

57 But we are thankful to God. He gives victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57

58 So be strong, my dear brothers and sisters. Don’t let anything change you. Always devote yourself completely to the Lord’s work. You know that whatever you do in the Lord will not be in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58

Walking in the light

5 We have heard the true teaching from God. Now we tell you this; God is light. There is no darkness in God.
1 John 1: 5

6 Therefore if we say that we have fellowship with God, and keep on living in darkness, we are liars and do not speak the truth.
1 John 1: 6

7 God is light. We too must live in the light. If we live in the light, we keep company with each other, if we live in the light. Jesus’ blood cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1: 7

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1: 8

9 But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God. He does what is right. He will forgive all the wrong things we have done.
1 John 1: 9
