God and wealth

24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and forget the other. So you cannot serve God and riches at the same time.
Matthew 6:24

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; And don’t worry about what you need to wear on your body. Isn’t life more important than food and body clothes?

26 Look at the birds of the sky. They neither sow nor reap nor gather grain in bundles. But your heavenly Father cares for them. Are you not better than they?

27 If you keep worrying, you can’t increase your life by a single moment.

30 God also clothes the grass of the field, which is today and will be thrown into the fire tomorrow. So, little believers, won’t God clothe you with more than that?

33 But first you must seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Then all these things will be given to you.

34 So don’t worry about tomorrow. It will worry about itself, today’s sorrow is enough for today.

Rich man and eternal life

16 And a certain man came to him, and said, Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
