Empty tomb

1 On the first day of the week, at dawn, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb where Jesus’ body lay. It was still dark. He saw that the stone that had covered the tomb had been removed.
John 20: 1

2 And Mary ran, and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved. He said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.”
John 20: 2

3 Then Peter and the other disciple started walking towards the tomb.
John 20: 3

4 And they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulcher.
John 20: 4

5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; but he went not in.
John 20: 5

6 And Simon Peter followed him, and entering into the tomb, he saw linen clothes lying there.
John 20: 6

7 He saw the linen cloths that were wrapped around Jesus’ head. And he had folded the cloth and was lying on one side away from the linen cloth.
John 20: 7

8 Then the other disciple also came in. This was the disciple who had come to the tomb before Peter. When he saw all this, he believed.
John 20: 8

9 The disciples did not yet understand what was written in the Scriptures, that Jesus should rise from the dead.
John 20: 9

10 Then the disciples returned home. Mary was still crying outside the tomb.
John 20:10

The Gift of blindness to birth

1 And as he passed by, he saw a man which was blind. This man was born blind.
John 9: 1

2 And his disciples say unto him, Master, this man is blind from his birth: but whose sins is this that blind him? Because of his own sins or the sins of his parents? ”
John 9: 2

3 Jesus said, “This is not the result of his sins or the sins of his parents. But he was born blind to show God’s power to people.
John 9: 3

4 We must do the work of the God who sent me during the day. Because then it will be night, and no one can work at night.
John 9: 4

5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. ”
John 9: 5

6 After saying this, Jesus spat on the ground and made a little mud with it and applied the mud to the blind man’s eye.
John 9: 6

7 Jesus said to the man, “Go and wash your eyes in the pool of Siloam.” Siloam means “sent.” So he went to the pool and washed his eyes and returned. Now he could see everything.
John 9: 7

8 People who saw him begging. And his neighbors said, “Look, this is not the same person who used to sit and beg.”
John 9: 8

9 Some said, “Yes, it is.” But others said, “No, this is not the man, it looks like him.” But the man said, “I am the same man.
John 9: 9

10 The people asked, “How did this happen? How did you get your sight? ”
John 9:10

11 The man answered, “A man named Jesus made some mud and put it over my eyes. He told me to go to the pool of Solomon to wash. When I went to the pool of Solomon and washed my eyes, I was able to see. ”
John 9:11

12 Then said they unto him, Where is he? And he said, I know not.
John 9:12

Death of Herod

20 Herod was very angry with the people of Tire and Sidon. They all came together to Herod. They succeeded in gaining the support of Blastus, the king’s special servant. They begged Herod for peace because his country was getting food from Herod’s country.

21 Herod set a date for them to meet. He was dressed in the most beautiful royal attire that day. He sat on his throne and gave a speech to the people.

22 The people began to shout, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.”

23 Herod, not praising God, accepted all this praise for himself, so an angel of the Lord gave him a terrible disease. He fell ill and eventually died of worms.

24 And the word of the Lord was multiplied, and waxed exceeding great, and the number of the believers increased;
Acts 12:24

25 When Barnabas and Saul had finished their work in Jerusalem, they took with them John, also called Mark, and returned to Antioch.
