The God of Peace be with all you. Romans 15:33

Why? Because Everyone who is a Child of God has the Power to Conquer the World.

                Conquering the world

1 Those who believe that Jesus is the Christ.  They are children of God.  He that loveth father loveth him also that is begotten of him.
 1 John 5: 1

2 How do we know that we love God’s children?  We know this because we love God and keep his commandments. 1 John 5: 2

3 To love God is to obey his commands.  And it is not difficult to follow his commands. 1 John 5: 3

4 Why?  Because everyone who is a child of God has the power to conquer the world. 1 John 5: 4

5 It is our faith that has triumphed over the world.  So who is the one who conquers the world?  Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 5: 5

testimony about Jesus

6 Jesus Christ is the one who came with water and blood;  He came not only with water but also with water and blood.  And the Spirit tells us that this is true.  The soul alone is the truth. 1 John 5: 6

7 Here are three proofs that tell us about Jesus. 1 John 5: 7

8 The Spirit, the water, and the blood are all three proofs. 1 John 5: 8

9 We trust people when they say something that is true.  But what God says is more important.  What God has said;  He told us the truth about his son. 1 John 5: 9

10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar;  He who does not believe in the word of God is a liar.  Why?  Because he does not believe what God has told us about his Son. 1 John 5:10

11 This is what God told us;  God has given us eternal life.  And this immortal life is in his Son. 1 John 5:11

12 He that hath the Son hath life;  But he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 1 John 5:12

Christ eternal life

13 I write these things to you who believe in the Son of God.  I am writing this so that you may know that immortal life is yours. 1 John 5:13

14 So we can come to God believing that when we ask him for anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14

15 Therefore we know that he hears us whenever we ask him for anything.  Then we know that he gives us what we ask of him. 1 John 5:15

16 If anyone sees that his brother or sister is committing a sin that does not lead him to death, then he should pray for his brother or sister.  God will give him life.  I am talking about people who sin, but the punishment for their sins is not death.  There are sins that end in death as punishment.  I am not asking you to pray about this sin. 1 John 5:16

17 Doing wrong is always a sin.  But there are also sins that do not lead to eternal death. 1 John 5:17

18 For we know that if any man be born of God, he sinneth not;  The Son of God protects him, and the evil one (Satan) cannot harm him. 1 John 5:18

19 We know that we are God’s people, but the evil one (Satan) controls the whole world. 1 John 5:19

20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us wisdom, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true.  And in fact our lives are in that one truth.  That is the true God, and that is eternal life. 1 John 5:20

21 Therefore, my children, keep yourselves from false gods. 1 John 5:21

A description of God’s covenant with Abram

A description of God’s covenant with Abram

1 And it came to pass after these things, that Abram saw the word of the LORD.  God said, “Abram, don’t be afraid.  I will protect you.  And I will give you a great reward. ”
 Genesis 15: 1

2 But Abram said, “Lord God, there is nothing here that can give me anything that can make me happy.  Because I have no son.  So Eliezer, my slave from Damascus, will be my heir after my death. ” Genesis 15: 2

3 Abram said, “You have not given me a son.  So the slave born in my house will inherit everything I have. ” Genesis 15: 3

4 Then the Lord spoke to Abram.  God said.  That slave will not inherit your possessions.  You will have a son, and your son will inherit all things. ” Genesis 15: 4

5 Then God took Abram out.  God said, “Look up to heaven.  Look at the many stars.  These are so many that you cannot count them.  It will be the same for your family in the future. ” Genesis 15: 5

6 And Abram believed in the LORD, and trusted in him. Genesis 15: 6

7 God said to Abram, “I am the Lord who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans.  I did this so that I could give you this land – you will own this land. ” Genesis 15: 7

8 But Abram said, “Lord, how can I be sure that I will get this land?” Genesis 15: 8

9 God said to Abram, “We will make a covenant. Bring me a three-year-old cow, a three-year-old goat, a three-year-old sheep, and a dove and a dove.” Genesis 15: 9

10 Abram brought all these things to God.  Abram cut the animals in two.  Then Abram put the two halves in front of each other.  Abram did not break the birds. Genesis 15:10

11 Later the big birds came down to eat the animals.  But Abram drove them away. Genesis 15:11

12 Later the day began to disappear.  Abram was very sleepy, and he fell asleep.  While he was asleep, a terrible darkness fell. Genesis 15:12

13 Then the Lord said to Abram, “You must know these things: Your descendants will live in a land that will not belong to them.  They will be strangers there.  And the people there will enslave them and treat them badly for 400 years. Genesis 15:13

14 But then I will punish the nation that enslaved them.  Your people will leave that land and take a lot of good things with them. Genesis 15:14

15 “You yourself will live a very long life.  You will die in peace.  And you will be buried with your family. Genesis 15:15

16 After four generations, your people will come back to this earth.  At that time, your people will defeat the Amorites.  I will punish the Amorites who live here through your people.  This will happen in the future, because the Amorites are not yet sinners enough to be punished. ” Genesis 15:16

17 When the sun went down, it was very dark.  The dead animals were still lying on the ground – each animal was divided into two parts.  At that moment, a line of fire and smoke appeared between the half-pieces of the dead animals. Genesis 15:17

18 So that day the Lord made a promise to Abram, saying, “I will give this land to your descendants.  Their land will extend from the Nile River in Egypt to the Euphrates River. Genesis 15:18

19 This land belongs to the Kenites, the Kenites, the Kadmonites, Genesis 15:19
