The God of Peace be with all you. Romans 15:33

Then The Reconciling Ministry

Then the Reconciling Ministry

11 We all know what it means to fear the Lord.  That is why we help people to get the truth.  God knows what we really are.  And I hope you know us in your hearts.2 Corinthians 5:11

12 We are not trying to prove to you again. But we are telling you about ourselves.  We are giving reasons why you can be proud of us.  Then tomorrow will be the answer for those who are proud of what they see.  They don’t care what is in a person’s heart. 2 Corinthians 5:12

13 If we have suffered, it is for the Lord.  If our brain is right then it is for you. 2 Corinthians 5:13

14 We are able to love Christ, because we know that he died for all, and that all have died. 2 Corinthians 5:14

15 Christ died for all, so that those who live should stop living for themselves.  He died for them and was raised from the dead.  So that those people may live for him. 2 Corinthians 5:15

16 From now on, we will not think of anyone as the people of the world think.  It is true that in the past we thought of Christ as the people of the world.  But now we don’t think that way. 2 Corinthians 5:16

17 If anyone is in Christ, he is a new person.  The old things are gone and now everything is new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

18 All this is from God.  God made peace between us and himself through Christ.  And God has given us the task of making peace between people and him. 2 Corinthians 5:18

19 This means that God was making peace between him and the world in Christ.  In Christ, God did not hold people accountable for their sins.  He gave us a message of peace. 2 Corinthians 5:19

20 So we have been sent to talk about Christ.  It is as if God were calling people through us.  Therefore we beseech you on behalf of Christ;  Make peace with God. 2 Corinthians 5:20

21 There was no sin in that.  But God made him a sinner.  God did this for us so that through him we might be made right with God.  2 Corinthians 5:21

The Arrival of Explorers, Going to Egypt, Returning from Egypt.

The Arrival of Explorers

1 In the days of King Herod, in Bethlehem of Judea, when Jesus was born, many scholars from the East came to Jerusalem and asked,

2 Where is the King of the Jews who was born?  For we have seen his star toward the east, and have come to worship him.

3 And when Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea, for it is written by the prophet,

6 Bethlehem, thou that art of the land of Judah, is not inferior to any of the princes: for out of thee shall come a ruler, which shall feed my people Israel.
7 And Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him;

8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child;

9 When they heard the king’s words, they departed. And, behold, the star which they saw in the east, went before them, and dwelt in the place where the child was.

10 They were very happy to see the star.

11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother: and they fell down, and worshiped him: and when they had opened their sacks, they offered gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

12 And when they had heard in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.

Going to Egypt

13 And as they departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise!  Take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek to kill the child.

14 And Joseph arose in the night, and went into Egypt, he and his mother;

15 And was there until the death of Herod: that the word of the Lord might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

16 But when Herod saw that the learned men had troubled him, he was wroth, and sent forth soldiers, and slew all that were in Bethlehem, and in all the country round about, both young and old.  According to the time that the scholar got the exact address from the researchers.
17 Then the word of the prophet Jeremiah came true

18 A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and wailing.  Rachel cries for her babies, and does not want comfort because they are not.

Returning from Egypt

19 And when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto Joseph in a dream in Egypt, saying,
20 Arise, take the child, and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they that are against the child are dead.

21 And Joseph arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel.

22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there.

23 And he went and dwelt in the city of Nazareth, that the word might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

How to Control the Tongue, Heavenly Wisdom.

How to control the tongue

1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we which are teachers shall receive the greater condemnation.

2 For we are all sinners.  If one does not forget in the Word, then he is a perfect human being and can control the whole body.

3 When we put bridles in the mouths of horses to control them, we also turn their whole bodies.

4 Behold, the ships, though they be very great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the sailors go.

5 In the same way, the tongue is a small part, but it kills great things. See what a great forest is strengthened by a small fire!

6 The tongue is also a fire!  The world of sin in our limbs is the tongue, which stains the whole body and sets the life-cycle on fire and rises from the fire of hell itself!

7 For every kind of beast, and of birds, and of creeping things, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:

8 But the tongue can no man tame;  It is a fickle force, full of destructive poison.

9 With him we bless the Lord and Father, and with him we curse men who are made in the image of God.

10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth praise and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

11 Can sweet and salty water come out of the mouth of one fountain?

12 My brothers, is it possible for a fig tree to have olive fruit or a vine with figs?  In the same way, fresh water cannot come out of salt water.

Heavenly wisdom

13 Who is wise and understanding among you?  In that case, he should show his deeds from the good conduct with the gentleness that comes from wisdom.

14 But if ye have bitterness and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.

15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is worldly, physical, and satanic.

16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first of all holy, then gentle, gentle, without stubbornness, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

18 The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
