Jesus’ first disciples

35 The next day John stood there again. John had two disciples with him.
John 1:35

36 John saw Jesus walking. John said, “Look! The Lamb of God. ”
John 1:36

37 The two disciples heard John speak, and they followed Jesus.
John 1:37

38 Jesus saw them coming, and said to them, “What do you want?” They both said, “Rabbi, Rabbi” means “Teacher.
John 1:38

39 Jesus answered, “Come and see.” So they both went with Jesus. They saw the place where Jesus was staying. They stayed with Jesus that day. It was about four o’clock.
John 1:39

40 The two men followed Jesus after hearing about him from John. One of the two men was named Andrew. Andrew was Simon Peter’s brother.
John 1:40

41 Andrew first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ. “Messiah” means “Christ”
John 1:41

42 Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at Simon and said, “You are Simon the son of John. You will call me Cephas.” “Cephas” means “Peter.”
John 1:42
